Review: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hello beautiful people!
For the past month, I've been using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to remove my makeup. I've been wanting to try it for awhile and wanted to find something different than makeup remover wipes. I've been having a hard time finding makeup remover wipes that I like. Plus, I hate having to rub my eyes really hard to remove mascara.
Before I get into the review, I just want to mention that I have dry and sensitive skin.  So here we go, my review on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:

My thoughts:
Holy crap, I love this stuff!! It is so much better than makeup wipes!  I definitley suggest if you are on the fence about trying it, even after reading this review, just go buy it and try it for yourself.

Purpose of the product:
As stated on Ulta's website: This All-in-1 cleanser is surprisingly powerful yet gentle to skin. It effectively removes makeup, cleanses skin and refreshes. A multi-purpose cleanser that contains Micellar technology. Like a magnet, micelles capture and lift away dirt, oil and makeup without harsh rubbing, leaving skin perfectly clean, hydrated and refreshed without over-drying.

How much did it cost?  How much product do you get?
-At Ulta for $8.99
-At Target/Walmart for $6.99

How do I like it?
I love this stuff!  It is so easy to remove my makeup and cleanse my face at the same time.  When I am done, I don't feel a terrible urge to wash my face with water immediately after like other products.  I'll be honest, I do find that on some days I will wash my face after just to get the wet feeling off my face if I use too much cleanser, but that doesn't happen often.

How do I use it? (best way)
I pour a bit of the product onto cotton rounds or pads (whatever you prefer to call them), and then I wipe it all over my face.  When I want to remove my eye makeup, I close my eyes (duh!) and hold the cotton pad there for a couple seconds to let the product work onto my eyelids and lashes.  After a couple seconds are up, I lightly rub the cotton pad back and forth a bit to make sure everything else comes off.

Would I recommend it?
Yes!  However, since I do not have oily skin, I don't know how it would work, but I say give it a go!  I really love it for removing my mascara, so even if you have oily skin, I wouldn't think it would do any harm by just using it as an eye makeup remover.

Does it remove makeup?
Yes, very easily without having to tug or pull at my skin, especially around the eye area!

Does it do well for dry and sensitive skin types?
Like I mentioned earlier, I have dry and sensitive skin.  I believe this product is good for people with dry and/or sensitive skin!  I have come across no problems with these two topics of my skin. However, I still had the usual dry patches on my face. At least it didn't make my skin feel or look dry, so I'm happy!  Always remember to put moisturizer on right after! ☺

Any problems, irritations or break outs due to it?
Not that I've noticed.  Definitely not problems or irritations, but since I'm a teen and a female, I have break outs.  I would not say I've had break outs due to this product.  I actually think it has caused my skin to look a lot clearer when my hormones are not all over the place... you know what I mean ladies.

Does it have a weird smell?
I'm sitting here sniffing the bottle while I answer this question! Haha!  I don't really smell anything.  I've never noticed any strong or bad smell.  However, I'm not very picky when it comes to the smell of things unless it is very strong, so I may not be the best person to answer this.  Yea, I don't really smell anything... final answer! ☺

If you have any questions I did not cover in this review that you would like an answer to, leave a comment and I will happily respond to your question!
Have a lovely day!

April 2016 Photo Summary

Hi beautiful people!
May the 4th be with you! ☺ (aka Happy Star Wars Day!)
I hope you all had a great April!  Since it is now May, I'm here to share a photo summary of my April!  It was pretty eventful and I was able to get my monthly dose of traveling in!  Yes, I need a monthly dose of travel because I love it and I want to travel the world!
Enjoy and cheers to a good May for all of you!

Just a quick selfie of my outfit I took before I went to dinner one night!
Shirt: Aeropostale
Skort: Hollister

I love my parents so much! ♥

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago White Sox game (Tampa won).

My family and I went to dinner with my cousin Adam at this cute restaurant!  It was so pretty!  Where we sat used to be an old alley they converted into part of the restaurant.  I loved it!  Plus, the food was delicious!!

I visited the site where Edgar Allen Poe is buried in Baltimore, MD!  It was so cool!  The original grave was still there and the new one!   I loved walking around the area and reading about everyone who is or was buried there!

This is a photo of me trying on clothes in Forever 21 while I was in Baltimore because there isn't a Forever 21 close to me where I live.  I'm definitely thinking about buying this dress!  It was so cute and only 10 bucks!!

This is just a photo of my cannon printer and a photo I printed that I took while I was traveling over Christmas time.  I had to print it for my Digital Photography II class, but I had been wanting to print it for a long time!  If you are debating whether or not to get a printer for yourself, I highly recommend it!  Best thing ever!  Plus, I love watching it print!! (I'm a photography nerd... I know! ☺)

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Hello lovely people!

Since Mother's Day in the United States is this coming Sunday, May 8th, I thought I would do a blog post of some gift ideas for our mothers! For each idea, I'll be linking a few options or examples that I think would be good! I will try my best to make the options I link affordable!
Remember, most mom's prefer something from the heart, so if you can't buy her anything, make something that she can use and/or love. I'll also list a few DIY ideas as well! One more thing, remember that Pinterest is your best friend for coming up with DIY ideas!
I hope you all will enjoy this post and get some help from it! Comment if you found it useful and/or liked any of the ideas I listed! Have a great day!
-Rachel

IDEAS:

- Buy her candy or chocolate!  You could create an emergency stash box with all of her favorite candies stored inside!  I'm planning on doing this for my mom! ☺

- Buy your mom her favorite candle!  She can never have too many!  Many you could try to recreate this:

- Put a picture in a DIY frame or a plain frame you like!  It can be a picture of you and your mom, a photo of you that your mom really likes, or just a photo your mom loves in general.

-Flowers.  You can go buy a nice bouquet or pick them yourself!  (Remember when I said most mom's like things from the heart?  Going outside and picking flowers yourself are a good idea!  I think it shows you cared and actually tried, but pre-made bouquets are great as well!)

- A book.  Maybe you can buy your mom a cookbook, a book by one of her favorite authors, a book she has been eyeing, or a book that is funny.

-Makeup.  You can get her lipstick, lip balms, blush, etc...

-Bath salts or bath bombs.  You can buy them at a store or create your own.  Here is a DIY bath salts link.

-Create a spa day kit for her.  You can include items like a nail file, nail polish, bath salts, lip balm, her favorite candy, a candle, etc.

-A mug,  Buy one you like or create your own at a place like Color Me Mine or buy a plain mug and write on it with sharpie, then put in the oven.

I hope you enjoyed!
