Hello beautiful people!
For the past month, I've been using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to remove my makeup. I've been wanting to try it for awhile and wanted to find something different than makeup remover wipes. I've been having a hard time finding makeup remover wipes that I like. Plus, I hate having to rub my eyes really hard to remove mascara.
Before I get into the review, I just want to mention that I have dry and sensitive skin. So here we go, my review on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:
My thoughts:
Holy crap, I love this stuff!! It is so much better than makeup wipes! I definitley suggest if you are on the fence about trying it, even after reading this review, just go buy it and try it for yourself.
Purpose of the product:
As stated on Ulta's website:
This All-in-1 cleanser is surprisingly powerful yet gentle to skin. It effectively removes makeup, cleanses skin and refreshes. A multi-purpose cleanser that contains Micellar technology. Like a magnet, micelles capture and lift away dirt, oil and makeup without harsh rubbing, leaving skin perfectly clean, hydrated and refreshed without over-drying.
How much did it cost? How much product do you get?
-At Ulta for $8.99
-At Target/Walmart for $6.99
How do I like it?
I love this stuff! It is so easy to remove my makeup and cleanse my face at the same time. When I am done, I don't feel a terrible urge to wash my face with water immediately after like other products. I'll be honest, I do find that on some days I will wash my face after just to get the wet feeling off my face if I use too much cleanser, but that doesn't happen often.
How do I use it? (best way)
I pour a bit of the product onto cotton rounds or pads (whatever you prefer to call them), and then I wipe it all over my face. When I want to remove my eye makeup, I close my eyes (duh!) and hold the cotton pad there for a couple seconds to let the product work onto my eyelids and lashes. After a couple seconds are up, I lightly rub the cotton pad back and forth a bit to make sure everything else comes off.
Would I recommend it?
Yes! However, since I do not have oily skin, I don't know how it would work, but I say give it a go! I really love it for removing my mascara, so even if you have oily skin, I wouldn't think it would do any harm by just using it as an eye makeup remover.
Does it remove makeup?
Yes, very easily without having to tug or pull at my skin, especially around the eye area!
Does it do well for dry and sensitive skin types?
Like I mentioned earlier, I have dry and sensitive skin. I believe this product is good for people with dry and/or sensitive skin! I have come across no problems with these two topics of my skin. However, I still had the usual dry patches on my face. At least it didn't make my skin feel or look dry, so I'm happy! Always remember to put moisturizer on right after! ☺
Any problems, irritations or break outs due to it?
Not that I've noticed. Definitely not problems or irritations, but since I'm a teen and a female, I have break outs. I would not say I've had break outs due to this product. I actually think it has caused my skin to look a lot clearer when my hormones are not all over the place... you know what I mean ladies.
Does it have a weird smell?
I'm sitting here sniffing the bottle while I answer this question! Haha! I don't really smell anything. I've never noticed any strong or bad smell. However, I'm not very picky when it comes to the smell of things unless it is very strong, so I may not be the best person to answer this. Yea, I don't really smell anything... final answer! ☺
If you have any questions I did not cover in this review that you would like an answer to, leave a comment and I will happily respond to your question!
Have a lovely day!
