July Photo Summary

Happy August!...
Well almost!  It's the last day of July! Ahh!
The start of senior year is about one month away for me!  I want more time for summer, but I'm excited to see what my last year in high school has in store.  As I do every month, here are some of my photos from July!  I hope you've all had a relaxing summer break from school or whatever it is you do.

- Rachel

Here is an American flag made out of m&ms my cousin Abby and I created on the Fourth of July!!

My favorite uncle (aka. my best friend) taking a snap with the dog filter!

My mom and I took my cousin (aka. my baby sister) shopping to look for some school clothes!  This was our little mirror selfie we took mid try-on!  She's so cute!  I love her so much!

I went to Nando's in the DC area with my parents, my cousin Adam, and his girlfriend this month!  I went to Nando's in Scotland when I visited for Spring Break 2015 and loved it!  I had to bring my parents!  The 'Naughty Natas" are the best!!!

In July, I went to Tennessee for the first time!  Now I have checked off 28/50 states!

Over the month, I have been working out.  The last week-ish of the month, I started lifting weights and things and this is my progress!  I'm pretty proud of my little bit of muscle since I feel like I have none normally.  HAHA!

I passed my road test on the 26 and finally got my driver's license!  I can drive by myself now! Yay!.. however, my mom isn't sure how she feels about it because her little girl is growing up. 😊

Road Trip Essentials

Hiya!
Do you need some ideas for what to bring on your road trip?  Do you keep forgetting some of your road trip essentials?  Well then you've come to the right place!  Today I will be listing some of my essentials that I love to have on road trip.  Here we go!

-SNACKS.  They are the most important thing on a road trip!
-Drinks.  Water, juice, capri suns, sodas... whatever you prefer.
-MUSIC.  IT IS A MUST.  Make sure you have a poppin playlist with your favorite tunes at the moment or even some old classics we all love!  Check out my May Playlist post and any other playlist/favorites posts.
-Headphones.  Just in case you are traveling with your parents or people who don't share a similar music taste as you.
-A book.  It is a classic road trip essential that never gets old!
-A car charger your photo and other electronic devices.  It is very essential for using your electronics to the max.  Just trust me, it is key.
-Pre-download movies or shows.  They are great with helping the time pass!  Plus, when your are in the car, you'll have plenty of time to catch up on your favorite tv series or watch some movies you've been wanting to see.
-Buy a magazine.  A magazine is just like a book, but can be better than a book for some people.  Choose whatever you prefer, but normally I'll bring both.
-A camera!  A much needed essential for taking cute pictures with your friends/family and the beautiful scenery you'll see along the way!
-Hair ties.  You can't bring too many because they are need, even when you think you won't need them.  Trust me again and bring a bunch!

Some optional essentials could be:
-Gum.
-A hydrating facial mist.  My favorite at the moment is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray here.

My Summer Reading Goal 2016

Hey gorgeous!
I'm talking about the books on my summer reading list today!  I have a couple books on my list and my goal is to read at least 2... haha!! It is probably a crappy goal compared to other book readers, but I haven't been reading much because I was so busy with school and just enjoying summer.  Now, I want to get back on a good track with reading my books!  Comment your reading goal for the summer!  Good luck to all of you!
- Rachel ♡
-Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. I started reading this a few months ago, but I've been super busy with school and other things that I haven't had time to read it. My biggest reading goal is to finish this over the summer! Yay! Fingers crossed!
-The Crown by Kiera Cass!  I'm so sad The Selection Series is over!! That is my favorite book series I've read!! I knocked out the first two or three books in about a month... I never finish one book in a month.  I think I'll read the series over again after I read this book because I loved it! ☺
-The White Rose by Amy Ewing.  I liked the first book, but I read it a long time ago.  I'll have to recap.  I might not read this one until the Fall, but we'll see.
-Invaded by Melissa Landers.  The first book was so good!
-Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass.  I need it!  I've never gotten around to picking it up and reading it.
-The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas.  Since it is about the main character of the Throne of Glass series before the first book, I'll have to read it eventually.

Happy Fourth of July!

Hello fellow Americans!
Happy Fourth of July!  It is our nation's Independence Day!  We have so much to be thankful for!  The United States of America has been an independent nation for 240 years!  Just wait for 2026 and it'll be 250 years!  That'll be a crazy celebration!  I hope everyone is enjoying their freedom and being good citizens of the US!
I'm proud to be an American, even though there are things I don't approve of.  Any way, comment the things you love about the United States!
I hope you enjoyed all the celebrations and fireworks!
