Frozen Chocolate Covered Bananas with Coconut Flakes || Recipe

Merry Christmas everyone!!
Today I'm bringing to you a Frozen Chocolate Covered Bananas recipe with optional coconut flakes on top!!  It's super delicious!!  The recipe is below, past these photos!  If you try it out, let me know and tweet me pictures!  My twitter is @msracheljeanne .  It’s a pretty simple recipe, but it’s a delicious and healthy snack or dessert!  I love making these!  It’s so easy and fun because I don’t think I’m that good of a cook, but I’m bomb at making these!  :)
I hope you enjoyed this post and have a great Christmas!
-Rachel

*These photos are not mine, but the recipe is my version!

Ingredients:
  • Bananas ( as many as you like)
  • Chocolate*
  • Coconut flakes/shavings (optional)
*Chocolate options:
             ○ A. Chocolate ( to melt) -milk or dark
             ○ B. cocoa powder, with honey and water (honey is optional

Things you’ll need:
  • Pot
  • fork or spoon
  • knife
  • plate/tray
  • tin foil/baking sheet (optional)

Steps:
Chocolate covering:
  1. Set/heat stove at about a 4-6, but once you melt the chocolate, you can change it to low-2 so it doesn't burn.
  2. Put chocolate into pot and stir oil melted.
  3. Pour a few spoonfuls of cocoa powder into the pot.  Then pour some water in and some honey.  The honey can add a richer flavor to the chocolate mixture.  Add more of each until the chocolate tastes good to you liking.
  4. Viola!  You can the start of your chocolate covering!!

Main recipe:
  1. Set up your plate or tray.  I like to put tin foil on top to make clean up a whole lot easier!
  2. Cut bananas into decent sized slices.  You can cut them to whatever size slices you want, but don’t make them too thin.  The thicker the better.
  3. With a fork or spoon, pour the chocolate mixture over your banana slice, or dunk the banana slice into the mixture.  Which ever you find works best.  I kind of lay the slice into the mixture with a fork, then I pour the mixture on top of the slice with a spoon.
  4. Lay the chocolate covered banana slice onto your plate/tray.
  5. Now you can sprinkle the coconut flakes on top if you choose to do so.  They taste just as good without it, but it’s just a little something extra!  Make sure to put the coconut flakes on before the chocolate covering hardens.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 with the rest of your banana slices.
  7. Put your plate/tray into the freezer.  I like to leave them in overnight to ensure they are completely frozen.  You probably only need to leave them in the freezer for about 3 hours or until they are frozen.  :)
  8. Once your chocolate covered bananas are frozen,  you can move them into a zip lot baggy or container until you are ready to eat them.  Make sure to keep them in the freezer so they stay frozen!
  9. Yay!  Now you can eat and enjoy them!!
Merry Christmas again!! Have a happy New Year too!!

November Summary

Happy December!
I know it's late, but normally I would have put together a photo summary from the previous month and share it here.  Unfortunately, I have no pictures to share from November.  I actually didn't take any...  So I thought I'd just write a little wrap up/summary instead.

My November:

1.  I received another college acceptance!!

2.  My car hit 1000 miles!  (My Jeep Renegade)

3.  Thanksgiving was alright this year. It was weird because we're used to it being cold, but it was 80 degrees!  You may think that's nice but not when you're trying to get into the holiday spirit.  Plus, we're used to it being below 40 or 50 and with snow.

4.  Black Friday was a little disappointing. Well it was actually Black Thursday and Friday... And Saturday & Sunday for some stores, but we did all our shopping on Friday. We got some good deals & marked a lot of people off our Christmas list!

5.  Lastly, I created a Twitter account for my blog and YouTube channel.  Click here to see it!  Give it a follow and tweet me any video/blog ideas or just chat with me!  I'd love to talk to you guys and get your input!  My user is @msracheljeanne.

Anyway,  that was my November really quickly.  I hope everyone will have a happy and safe December and Christmas season!!

Sick Day Makeup ||| YouTube

Hi loves,
Since it's that time of year where everyone gets sick, I thought it would be a good idea to film a simple and easy Sick Day Makeup look!  When I'm sick, I don't like putting makeup on, but I know some people like to.  Sometimes when you've just gotten over a cold, but still feel blah, you want to put a little makeup on to feel or look a bit more human.  If wore makeup when I'm sick, this is what I'd do or maybe a bit less.  I hope you enjoy!  Remember to like, comment and SUBSCRIBE!!!
Talk to you soon!

My Winter Essentials 2016

Hi loves,
The winter season hasn't officially started yet, but I'm sure it feels like it has where you live.  During every season I see videos about essentials for that season, so I thought I'd share my winter essentials!
Let's get started!

Fashion:
* A nice, cozy beanie!  Not only are they cute and fashionable, but that keep your head and ears warm!  There are so many cute beanies out there and I love them!  Definitely a winter staple!!

* Pajama bottoms!  Cute winter/christmas inspired ones or even a classic plaid pair are perfect!  You can sleep in them and also feel cute and cuddly around the house.  I love my purple plaid pair I have! It's always good to have a nice pair of plaid pj bottoms!

* Cute Christmas PJs!  I have a red christmas nightgown with puppies wearing Santa hats all over it and I love it so much!  I've worn it on christmas morning for the past few years.  I feel very cute in it, plus it gets me in the Christmas mood!  It's always great to have some Christmas jammies!

* FUZZY SOCKS!! Do I really need to convince you?  They are a MUST during the winter!! Ahh!! I love them!  I'm actually wearing some right now!

Other:
* Revlon's 'Vixen' nail polish!  It is this beautiful deep red color, which is perfect for the winter and christmas season!!  It's a beautiful color!! Definitely check it out!!

A good moisturizer!!  It's very essential in the winter months since the cold is making your skin dry out more.  My favorite moisturizers are the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (for any time of day, but I use it at night) and the Neutrogena Naturals Multi-vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer (for the morning/daytime).  I suggest these two moisturizers if you have sensitive skin.  I also have dry skin and they work great for me!

* Lights!  Whether they are actually Christmas lights or lanterns like I have, your room isn't complete for the winter season without lights hanging!  It makes your room look so cute and cozy!  I have the white lantern string lights from Target!  I clip photos with clothespins onto them and they are so nice!

* Tissues!  πŸ˜‚  Let's be real, you know this is a must!

* Christmas candles!  I'm not the biggest lover of candles, but winter scents like Christmas Cookie and vanilla bean/sugar cookie/cake whatever are my absolute favorite!  I think I link candles with the winter months, which is why I only really care about them this time of year!  Now that December starts this week, I'm going to have to break out and light my favorite Christmas candles!!!

I hope you enjoyed! Remember to follow my twitter (@msracheljeanne)!!
Have a lovely week!
