Summer Goals 2016

Hey!
Summer is here!  I thought I would write some of my goals for the Summer here on my blog!!  Maybe by writing them on a blog post, I will be held to some of them more.
Here are my goals for Summer 2016:

-Do YouTube videos.  I used to make videos my freshman year of high school, but I got busy and stopped.  I've been wanting to start up my channel again recently.  I really want to make an effort over the summer with my free time to make videos!  Hopefully, I'll be able to try to make one video a week, but don't hold me to that because I know every week won't be possible.  If you want to subscribe, here is my channel! ☺

-Practice calligraphy.  I love watching calligraphy videos on twitter.  Plus, my handwriting could look nicer.

- Go gluten free.  I have really bad eczema, so I'm hoping by going gluten free (and eventually anti-inflammatory) I'll be able to get rid of my eczema or at least minimize it.

-College tours.  It is almost time for me to head off to college!  Ahh!

-Complete at least 2 books on my summer reading list (link that post)

-Finish Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas.  I have been so busy, and Summer will finally allow me time to relax and read.

-Spend time with my best friends!!  I miss them so much!

I hope you have a great Summer and accomplish your goals!  Comment some of your Summer Goals below!

10 Things I'm Looking Forward to This Summer ||| 2016

Why hello!
Today, I'm going to write about ten things I'm looking forward to this summer!! P.s. these are in no specific order!

1. Going to graduation parties and watching my friends graduate high school! It's going to be so sad, but I'm so happy for them!

2. Seeing all my friends from school at their graduation!  I do online school, so I'm super excited we all get to meet up again!!

3. Free time to do whatever I want to without school getting in the way!

4. I'm so excited to spent time with my family over the summer!  I can't wait to hang out with my cousin Abby, who is like my little sister! ♥

5. Traveling with my family! We're still planning a few things, but we know we're going to travel! Yay! I love traveling!

6. Pursuing my YouTube channel! I really hope to make more YouTube videos over the summer and actually try with it! I love to film videos, so I'll glad to have time to really see how I like it.  Plus, I'm hoping I'll have more time to do it over this next school year in the Fall!

7. I'm very excited to spend time with my best friends!! Since I moved, we live in different states and don't get to see each other that often! Luckily, over the summer, we're all free and I can see them!! ❤️

8. I'm looking forward to spending time outside in the warm weather!

9.  I'm looking forward to reading some books over the summer by the pool or at the beach!

10.  Getting fit!  I enjoy working out; and I'm in one of my exercise buzzes again!  I'll be able to do some nice summer workouts outdoors!

What are you looking forward to this summer?!
Cheers to a good summer!

Study Tips for Finals

Hello fellow students!
Today, I'm here to give you some tips on studying for finals.  I have finals in about three weeks.  Sorry, if you've taken your finals already (or midterms... depending on when you see this post).  I hope this post will be able to help you in some way, whether studying for a big test or your final exams.  Good luck to everyone ending the school year and taking their finals!! I hope all goes well!
Comment any study tips you have that I didn't mention.
I'll talk to you in a couple days with a new post!
- Rachel

~ Relax. Don't over stress about it.  It's as simple as that.

~ Realize how much time you have to study.  If you have a busy schedule, either try to free up more time or plan certain times when you know you can study.  You could even create a study schedule for yourself to follow during your study week.

~ Write down important information or formulas on notecards or in your notebook.  I find that when I write something down, especially when it comes to math and terms in different subjects, I remember them a bit better.

~ Use more of your time to study for the subjects you don't think you'll do well on or need more refreshing in.  Personally, I'm really good at math, so I don't really study it too much, unless it's a topic I struggled with a bit during the year or semester.  This year, my subject I need to take more time studying for is physics... For some reason, I'm just not feeling it.  At least I know I don't want to be a physicist!... which is a good thing for all the physicists out there because I wouldn't be of any help.  ☺

~ Take breaks.  Don't over study.  I believe over studying won't help you on your exams.  For example, don't study for three hours straight because you'll get bored and not focus/remember as much.

~ Reward yourself.  This goes with taking breaks in some ways.  If you've been studing for an hour or something, take a break, go outside and get some fresh air, watch a show or a couple of YouTube videos(*cough cough*  My YouTube videos (plug☺)).  You can also plan a study break with your friends. Oh!  One thing I love to do once all my finals are done and over with is reward myself for doing well and getting through it.  You can either plan a spa day at the nail salon with some friends, go to the beach, or buy yourself a little treat!  Also, pamper nights after... or even before finals... are great to help you relax and destress.

~ Attend review sessions/classses.  I don't know about your school, but at my school we take up a class to study and review everything we learned during the semester. If your school does this, it is very important to pay attention to your teacher during this class because they could mention something that is on the test or even tell you that it will be on the test.
