Q&A || Collab with Annabel

Hey cuties!
It's time for my first Q&A on my blog... realistically my first ever!  I am doing this in collaboration with one of my good friends, Annabel!  Go check her out and her blog!  She is great and creates lovely content!  I'll leave her links below!  She is also doing a Q&A, so make sure to check that out too!

Annabel:

If you're a new reader, then let me introduce myself really quickly.  Hi! Welcome to my blog, Irish Vogue.  My name is Rachel!  I'm the writer and brains behind this blog.  I'm seventeen years old and am going into my senior year of high school!  I live in the United States, but I'm part Irish, which is why I came up with Irish Vogue.  At the time of choosing blog names, I wanted it to be Irish related somehow, and Vogue was the one that just seemed to fit.  No real meaning behind the name unfortunately.  Haha!

Enjoy my A's to some Q's! :)

Favorite place I've visited in the world?
I would have to say it is a pretty close tie between Ireland and Scotland!! They are just two beautiful countries and I loved every minute I was there!   I want to go back so badly!!

Favorite color?
Blue is number 1, but I also like green and yellow.  Also, a peachy coral is nice too!

Favorite season?
Fall and winter are my favorite!  I love the cold and snow so much!  Plus, the changing colors of the leaves are gorgeous!

Favorite flower?
Hydrangeas, which is terrible because a boyfriend could never give my a bouquet of hydrangeas because they are huge.  I love them because they look like little snowballs and I grew up with them outside my Gram's house!

Favorite editing software for photos?
On my phone, I love using VSCO cam.  On my old Window's computer, I used a free version of Adobe Photoshop.  Haven't found one I like on my MacBook.  Let me know what your favorite is?!

What is a place you really want to visit?
I can never truly answer this question the same or with one answer.  The best answer I can give is I want to go everywhere!  At the moment, I really want to visit Germany, Italy, and Greece! Oh, and Norway or Sweden!! I told you, there are too many! :)

Favorite song at the moment?
I love Closer by the Chainsmoker and Starving by Hailee Steinfeld.

Currently reading?
This is terrible if you had read one of my previous blog posts, but I'm still reading Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas.  Yeaaaaa... But I'm almost done!!  I have less than 100 pages left!  Unfortunately, I haven't really been in the mood to read it this summer and I'm the type of person that needs to finish a book before I read something else.

Favorite place I've visited?
I would have to say it is currently split between Ireland and Scotland!! There are beautiful countries! I am the heart eyes emoji whenever I am there!

Favorite YouTubers?
Currently, I love all of the Sidemen (my favorites are Josh (Zerkaa), Simon (Miniminter), Vik (VikkStar123), and Ethan (Behzinga)!), Rachel Jeffreys, MsRosieBea, Amber Fillerup and Sarah Close.

Favorite quote?
Hmm... either "travel to expand your world and your soul" or "life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.  It's about learning to dance in the rain!"

Favorite social media app?
I would have to say instagram or snapchat.  Not the biggest fan of instagram turning into snapchat at the moment thought! haha!

Favorite food?
I love mashed potatoes, pineapples and watermelon!  All separately... not together, ew haha!

Favorite music artist(s)?
My all-time favorites are Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars, and Christina Perri!  I love their music so much!

My Current Playlist || Summer 2016

Hello beautiful humans!
In May, I created a May Playlist and a blog post for it, which you can find here.  I was just thinking of all the songs I've been liking and listening to on repeat this month and thought I would turn them into another playlist post!  I can't fully tell you what my music taste is because it varies and I like a lot of different types of songs and artists.  I've put most of the songs into a Spotify Playlist here: Summer Tunes '16.  Some of the songs are covers that I like to listen to more than the actual song, which I will link below!  Also, I'll be adding to the playlist whenever I find something new, so follow it if you want to keep up to date with the tunes I'm loving.
If you have read my other playlist/music related posts, you'll know that my favorite cover artist on YouTube is Sarah Close!!  You know you'll be seeing her name in this post and probably every music post I create in the future!  She is just so good and so talented!  Ok, ok... I'll stop rambling on and let you get to what you came for. ;)
I hope you all enjoy my little end of summer playlist of the songs I've been loving this summer!  Comment your favorite songs from the summer!  I'd love to hear from you!
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a lovely week!

My Current Summer Beauty Essentials

Hi!
Recently, I wrote a blog post about my Road Trip Essentials, which you can find here. Sticking to the topic of essentials, I thought I'd talk about some of my current beauty essentials this summer! Comment you're essentials below! I'd love to hear what your essentials are!

*(P.S. Comment some questions for a Q&A collab I'll be doing soon with my friend Annabel on our blogs!)*

- Rachel

Here are my current beauty essentials:

-Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This spray is very refreshing on your face, especially since it is very hot this summer!  It also helps keep your makeup in place during the heat. Plus, it can help dryness on my face not looks as bad after I spray it all over!!

- A translucent powder.  My favorite is the BareMinerals Touch Up Veil pressed powder in Translucent!  It is the first powder I ever had and I'm very loyal to it!  It has SPF 15, which is good during the summer. In the summer, I always want to powder my face to ensure everything will stay a bit longer and not look as shiny as quickly.

-Lip balm.  I always have some kind of lip balm in my purse.  It will forever by an essential for me.  I can't stand dry lips.  I always like to keep them hydrated!  My favorite is the Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.

-A bronzy blush. This summer, I haven't been very into wearing a bright pink blush with my tan, so I've discovered I like a red/pink bronzer color for blush. I've been loving using the red-ish shade in my Elf 'Cool Bronzer'. Ps. There are four shades in it, which are all great blended together for bronzer (especially in the winter for paler skin).

- A facial exfoliator/scrub.  A new addition to my skincare routine this year has been facial scrubs or exfoliators.  I've been trying different ones this summer.  My two favorites at the moment are the Clinique 7-Day Scrub Cream in the rinse-off formula and the Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub.  I like them for different reasons.  Both have little exfoliating beads or something in them.  I think the Clinique one is good for sensitive skin, like mine, because the exfoliating beads are not rough on your face.  It feels very gentle.  However, the Mario Badescu one is the opposite.  The beads in it feel a bit rougher on my skin, so I tend to use it when I feel my face needs a deep clean.  I like the Clinique one for everyday.

(I apologize if these photos seem a bit pixel-y for you.  They look fine on my computer until I put them into the blog post.  I hope you still enjoyed the post!  Maybe it didn't happen for you, but I just thought I should state it.  Thanks! -R)
