- Rachel ♡
Here are my current beauty essentials:
-Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This spray is very refreshing on your face, especially since it is very hot this summer! It also helps keep your makeup in place during the heat. Plus, it can help dryness on my face not looks as bad after I spray it all over!!
- A translucent powder. My favorite is the BareMinerals Touch Up Veil pressed powder in Translucent! It is the first powder I ever had and I'm very loyal to it! It has SPF 15, which is good during the summer. In the summer, I always want to powder my face to ensure everything will stay a bit longer and not look as shiny as quickly.
-Lip balm. I always have some kind of lip balm in my purse. It will forever by an essential for me. I can't stand dry lips. I always like to keep them hydrated! My favorite is the Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.
-A bronzy blush. This summer, I haven't been very into wearing a bright pink blush with my tan, so I've discovered I like a red/pink bronzer color for blush. I've been loving using the red-ish shade in my Elf 'Cool Bronzer'. Ps. There are four shades in it, which are all great blended together for bronzer (especially in the winter for paler skin).
- A facial exfoliator/scrub. A new addition to my skincare routine this year has been facial scrubs or exfoliators. I've been trying different ones this summer. My two favorites at the moment are the Clinique 7-Day Scrub Cream in the rinse-off formula and the Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub. I like them for different reasons. Both have little exfoliating beads or something in them. I think the Clinique one is good for sensitive skin, like mine, because the exfoliating beads are not rough on your face. It feels very gentle. However, the Mario Badescu one is the opposite. The beads in it feel a bit rougher on my skin, so I tend to use it when I feel my face needs a deep clean. I like the Clinique one for everyday.
(I apologize if these photos seem a bit pixel-y for you. They look fine on my computer until I put them into the blog post. I hope you still enjoyed the post! Maybe it didn't happen for you, but I just thought I should state it. Thanks! -R)
