My Travel Essentials!

Hiya!
I'm currently visiting my family up north and I'm super happy to finally be home!  Just two hours after getting off the plane, a few flurries fell from the sky!! I literally screamed in the car; I was so happy!  I really hope it will snow more whilst I'm here!  Fingers crossed!
As I'm back in my travel mode, I thought this would be a good time to share my travel essentials with you!  Be on the look out for some packing videos on my youtube channel in the near future (hopefully)!
Stay safe and have a fantastic week!
-Rachel ♡

✧ LIP BALM!! Y'all should know that I love my lip balm and can't stand dry lips.  It is an ESSENTIAL!  Emphasis on the essential! :)

✧ My laptop!  I have a 13-inch macbook pro and I love the size!  Definitely small enough to easily travel with, but big enough to still nice wide screen.  I prefer watching videos on my computer since the screen is much bigger than my phone.  Plus I need it when I need to do work on the go.

✧ A sweater/sweatshirt!  Sweatshirts are key when you are traveling, especially by plane.  It can get pretty cold after sitting in the plane or car with the ac turned up.  Even if it is warm, I like to snuggle up in a sweatshirt!

✧ Fuzzy socks!  Pretty much for the same reason as the sweatshirt!  I mean who doesn't love fuzzy socks anyway! :)

✧ Snacks!! Oh how have I just remembered this!!  Snacks are crucial!!  I made my own trail mix and popped some popcorn and put them in little ziplock bags to have on the plane!! My parents and i demolished them on the plane, and they were happy I packed nice snacks!

✧ Headphones!  I love listening to music.  Headphones are super important to have, especially when you're on a plane.  Sometimes you just need to zone out for a bit and plugging in your headphones and listing to some tunes allows you to do that!

✧Hand cream/moisturizers!  My hands get so dry in the winter and I just have dry skin in general.  These are crucial for me because I can't stand dry skin... just like dry lips.  I actually packed a dry skin mud face mask to use to help my face regain some hydration.  I think I may use it tomorrow.  I realistically should have used it the same day I got off the plane, but better late then never right?!

✧ Chargers!  If you're bringing any electronic devices, you cannot live without chargers.  What's the point of even bringing a computer and not bringing a charger.  Anyway, just please don't forget your chargers!!

✧PASSPORT/ID!!  YOU NEED THIS!  PERIOD!!

✧ A pen.  I mean it never hurts to bring a pen and you or someone near you may really need one.  This is really important when you're on an international flight and have to go through customs.  For some reason, flight attendants have never given me a pen, but I always have one!

✧ A book/magazine!  A little light reading never hurt anyone!.. I don't think :P

My 2017 TBR

Hola fellow readers!
I want to share my 2017 TBR (to be read) list with you!  I wish I was one of those bookworms that can read a book a week and still enjoy it, but I'm a slow reader and like to take my time with reading to fully understand and enjoy a book.  I'm also not a person who can make a reading goal of 50-100+ books in a year.  I'm happy if I read 10 books in a year!  Haha!  I really wish I could read more, but I go in phases of how much I read.  What kind of reader are you?  Let me know in the comments or on twitter
Let's get right into my 2017 TBR list now!  I'll link the Goodreads page for each book on my list! I hope you enjoy it and can get some ideas on what to read next!  Also, comment or tweet me books that are on your TBR list and what is your reading goal for the year?!
-Rachel ♡

My 2017 TBR:
The Sidemen Book by The Sidemen!  I'm currently reading this now and I love it!!  I mean, the Sidemen are some of my favorite people on this earth!  I love their videos and they are my main source of laughter these days!!  I love them soooooo much!!

The Crown by Kiera Cass!  The Selection Series is my favorite book series ever!  I fell in love with is the first time I read it!  I just look fairytale-like stories!  This is the last book in the series, which makes me sad, but I'm really excited to read it!

The White Rose by Amy Ewing.  I read The Jewel, which is the first book in this series, either last year or the year before and I really enjoyed it.  I've been so busy with life and reading other books that I forgot to read this book.  I'm going to make sure I read this book this year for sure!  I may have to google a summary of the first book to make sure I remember everything correctly.

The Black Key by Amy Ewing.  This is the third book in The Jewel or The Lone City Series.  For the same reasons above, I hope to read this book in 2017 after I read The White Rose.

Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass.  This book is a collection of short-stories based on The Selection Series.  I've read two of the short-stories in the book, but I want to read the rest!  I plan on reading it soon!!

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas.  I just finished reading Heir of Fire, which is the third book in this series, last month.  I'm going to read a few other books on this list first to take a little break from the series, but I plan to continue the series later on in the year.

The Assassin's Blade by Kiera Cass.  This is the prequel to the Throne of Glass Series.  I hope to read it at some point to get some answers for some things I've read in the books.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.  This book sounds really good and I really hope to read it and like it at some point this year.  It's not as high up on my list of must read this year, but I hope I'll make time to it after I read some other books on this list first.

Remember to tweet me books on your TBR list, your reading goal for 2017, and/or what kind of reader you are!  My twitter is @msracheljeanne.
Thanks for reading!!

My Main Shoe Collection!

Hey Fashion & Style Lovers!
This week's new video is another one related to style and fashion, but is focuses on my shoes!  I didn't want to do a complete shoe collection video because I have a ton of flip flops and don't want weirdos coming onto my video.  You know what I mean... πŸ˜‚
For that reason, today's video is about 'My Main Shoe Collection' (aka my favorite/most loved shoes!)  I hope you will enjoy it!  It's a pretty quick video!  Remember to like and SUBSCRIBE!!
I hope you all have a lovely week!

2016 Beauty Favorites!

Hi friends!
Now that we're fifteen days into 2017, I'm going to discuss my 2016 beauty favorites!  I hope 2016 was a good year for you.  It was a roller coaster for me with more lows than highs, but that's ok because I'm ready to make 2017 better!  Plus, I was able to find some things I loved this year (aka my favorites!) All products are linked expect the Lorac palette; just click the name of the product! :)
Cheers to a year full of happiness, fun, and adventure for all of us in 2017!!
-Rachel ♡

My 2016 Beauty Favorites!:
Badger Balm Unscented Face Oil!  I bought this product in the hopes of it helping get rid of my acne scars and ohhhh did it do the job!  I was originally using Vitamin E tablets and cutting them open to use the product, which helped, but this Badger Balm oil has done great!  Highly recommend you give it a try if you have acne scars!
Benefit POREfessional Face Primer was my go-to primer in 2016!  I absolutely love it!!  It feels nice on my skin, creates a barrier between my foundation and skin, and fills in my pores!!  I highly suggest it; however, I'm thinking of trying the NYX Pore Filler or Glossier's primers to see if they are good cruelty free dupes!

Lorac Love, Lust & Lace Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette (Limited Edition)!  I bought this for Christmas two years ago, but I've only recently discovered using the two lightest shades (the shimmery white and pink) as highlighters!  They are perfect for me and are currently my go-to highlighters!  I love using the shimmery pink shade on my brow bone and on my lids, the shimmery white shade on my cupid's bow, and both together in the inner corners of my eyes and on my cheek bones!  If you love highlighter and can find this palette anywhere (maybe on Depop or Vinted), I highly suggest you get it!  Beautiful shadows and highlighters!
The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush has become my go-to foundation/bb cream brush in the final months of 2016!  I was always that girl who was against using a brush and super pro-beauty sponge because using brushes to apply foundation always made my skin too dry and cakey.  However, sponges never gave me to coverage I desired with a light feeling foundation.  When I gave the Expert Face Brush a go, I feel in love with it!  It gave me that extra bit of coverage, but didn't made my look dry or cakey!  (P.S. I don't stroke or rub with the brush, I apply my foundation by bouncing or dabbing it into my skin!)

Garnier Micellar Water Makeup Remover! Check out my review here! This stuff has changed my way of how I remove my makeup!  I believe it's better for my face than pulling and tugging my face with makeup wipes.  It removes mascara and eye makeup easily!! Plus, it works as a good cleanser to clean my face.  I love it!

Vanity Planet Cleansing Face Brush (with the dry skin brush head!)!  I've unboxed this product here and reviewed this product here if you'd like to see those posts!  My favorite brush head is the silicone one, which is meant for dry and sensitive skin types (aka my skin type!).  I love how it makes my face feel more clean than just washing my face with water or just my hands with cleanser.  It really helps my cleanser give my skin a deep clean!  I think it is way more effective than just using your hands!
CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara!! OMG! This is my all-time favorite mascara!  I love the formula and I love the curved brush!  I'm not one for spider lashes.  I like my lashes to look longer, but natural when I put mascara on!  This product completely does the job for me!  Love it!!

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for normal to dry skin!  This is my holy grail body moisturizer!  Since I have dry skin and eczema, this is perfect of me!  It's not scented and neither thick or light (a good in-between!) P.S. if you go through tubs of these like I do, buy them at Walmart because they are the cheapest there!

How could I forget my Mario Badescu Facial Spray!! If you know personally, then you know I love this product!  I think everyone loves this product to be honest!! Get it if you have not done so already!!

December OOTW ||| YouTube & Blog Name Change!

Hey fashion lovers!
My December OOTW is finally here!  There was so much love on my September OOTW that I had to do another and I thought December was the perfect time!  Instead of seven outfits, there are eight outfits!  Lucky you!  All the outfit info is in the video's description!  I don't know where everything is from (i.e. my Christmas morning night gown), but I put all that I knew!  I hope 2017 is going well so far!
I hope you watch the whole thing and give it a thumbs up if you like it!  Leave a comment and subscribe while you're there too!  Enjoy!

Also, if you haven't been able to tell, I changed my blog name/title!  It used to be irishvogue, but I've been wanting to change it to something I know I will always like and that will match my other social media.  So now my blog is called msracheljeanne!!  It's perfect because my first name is Rachel, middle name is Jeanne, and I'll always be a Ms. no matter what!  I hope you guys like it and are ok with it!  Comment your thoughts or tweet me!!

Lots of love,
Rachel ♡

10 Things I'm Looking Forward to in 2017

Happy New Year!!
It's officially 2017!  I hope you all had a good and safe night last night!  I hung out with my friends from out of town!  We danced and had sleepover!  It was pretty fun!
To start off 2017, I wanted to make a post about my new year's resolutions and things I'm looking forward to this year!  I'm not one who makes goals at the start of every year, but over Christmas, I kept thinking of things I wanted to do in the new year!  Here is a list of events I'm looking forward to and some of my goals for 2017!
Comment your goals or things you're looking forward to!  I hope you all have a great 2017!  Best wishes!

2017:
➤ My high school graduation!  I'll finally be graduating high school in June 2017!  It's super exciting and just slightly scary, but I'm ready!

➤ College!  I'll be starting my freshman year of college in the Fall of 2017!  I don't know for sure where yet, but hopefully it'll bring me closer to family!  I'm really excited for this next step in my life.

➤ My 18th birthday!  In March 2017, I'll hit a big milestone in life!  I'll officially be 18 and an adult!  Ahh!

➤ Moving near home!  Hopefully, my parents and I will move closer to our family and friends up north in 2017!  I know I will for college, but the plan is to be there before I start college!

➤ New friends!  I'm excited to start college and meet new people!  I hope I'll be able to make new friends to go on adventures with and to be happy with!

➤ Travel!  My fingers are crossed for more travel in 2017!  I have a wanderlust heart that wants to see the world!

➤ Fitness!  I really like working out sometimes!  Once my soccer season is over in February, I hope to go to the gym more often and work on getting fitter for myself.

➤ Learn the piano!  I've been really craving playing a piano recently and I want to learn how to okay it properly!  I used to play the flute and my mom used to play the piano when she was younger, so I kind of want to get back into an instrument, but one that is more practical!  Plus, I want to be able to learn to play a song and sing to it!

➤ Pottery class!  I really want to take a pottery class in 2017!  My mom and I have been talking about it for the past few months, but haven't found the time to go together.  I want to make it happen in 2017 before we move!  Hopefully we can do it within the next few months.

➤ Dorm room shopping!  I'm not officially sure if I will have a dorm room in college or not, but there is a chance I may.  I love interior design and it's super exciting thinking about shopping for dorm decor!  If I choose a college that I'll get a dorm room at, then I'll be really excited for the shopping!

Well, those are my top ten things I'm looking forward to in 2017 and some of my goals!
Have a happy 2017!   xx
